My Fifth Blog Post

I started this website back in December with the intention of releasing my first experimental single, End Games (1604) and just playing around with videos while creating a story behind the content. At that time in my mind, I estimated by about a month I will have “familiarized myself” with making content and posting, and then I would drop my first official single for promotion, Damaged (Teaser).

8 months later…

I ended up distributing Damaged (Teaser) back in May and spent the last couple of months figuring how to do that while simultaneously producing more and more content to go along with it. This took on a completely different angle than what I was originally working on with End Games. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Releasing music for profit is something altogether different than when you a drop a song that’s not-for-profit.

I have found that the “learning curve” on content creation for social media is not a little 1-month to 2-month thing. It is literally an ever-evolving process, and the moment you think you got something down, something else crops up and boom, it’s like you’re a student all over again.

Managing Systems

I am still trying to work out a system on what kind of content I will create, when I will create it, and how much/how often I post; however, after going through the release curve of Damaged I have been able to get a much clearer picture than what I was dealing with pre-release. This is something that I have to be really be thankful for. A couple days ago I finally dopped my third single, Flowers (Freestyle) on SoundCloud, and I am currently working on getting it distributed to Spotify, YouTube, and all the other music streaming platforms.
